The Beachables story began with a passion for the beach and a deep-rooted love for the beach lifestyle. It all started with our founder, Mary Watters, who was inspired to create a brand that captures the essence of beach life and delivers products of exceptional comfort and quality.
Beachables found its initial beginnings in Charleston, South Carolina, when Mary used her innate creativity and eye for design to craft custom-embellished beach accessories that quickly gained attention and popularity among beach enthusiasts. With each handmade piece, Mary infused her personal touch, ensuring that every product reflected the beauty and spirit of the coastal lifestyle.
As the demand for Beachables grew, so did our aspirations. Driven by the commitment to delivering exceptional products, Beachables evolved from a local boutique to one that ships all over the country.
Our handcrafted beachwear, cover-ups, and accessories have become synonymous with style, quality, and a genuine love for the beach. Meet Our Founders
Beachables was started by our founders Mary and Dan Watters, whose journey began on the breathtaking shores of Big Island, Hawaii, in 2017. It was there, during a work trip, that the idea of the Beachables bag took root.
Inspired by the chair covers they enjoyed at their resort pool, Mary embarked on a mission to create a high-quality, functional, and stylish beach accessory that truly elevates your beach and poolside experiences.
What started as a beach and pool chair cover transformed into a versatile beach tote bag with a built-in towel. And “The Beachable" was born. From our innovative, soft, luxurious Turkish cotton bags to our stylish cover-ups and dresses, we believe that every item we create should be both functional and beautiful.
Today, Beachables proudly operates its flagship store, Beachables Coastal Collection, offering not only its exceptional products but also a curated selection of coastal-inspired gifts and accessories. In 2021, we expanded further with Beachables on King, a retail location in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.

We proudly support Water Mission, a Christian engineering nonprofit dedicated to providing safe water solutions in developing countries and disaster areas. We are also proud to support the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry and Special Olympics which are especially dear to us since our 14-year-old son Carson - an active participant and spokesmodel for our business - has Down syndrome.
